Social Security Administration Needs Strategic Commitment to E-Services

August 6 -- In order to meet the needs and expectations of the baby boomer generation, the Social Security Administration must make a strategic commitment to enhance and promote use of its online services, says a new report from the National Research Council. As it does so, SSA will also need to modernize its database and other IT systems, which will become increasingly difficult to maintain as SSA programmers retire themselves.
