The Roundtable on Health Literacy envisions a society in which the demands of the health and health care systems are respectful of and aligned with people’s skills, abilities, and values. The mission of the Roundtable is to inform, inspire, and activate a wide variety of stakeholders to support the development, implementation, and sharing of evidence-based health literacy practices and policies. The goal is to improve the health and well-being of all people.
Each action collaborative is an ad hoc activity associated with the Forum at the National Academies. The work each produces does not necessarily represent the views of any one organization, the Collaborative, the Forum, or the National Academies and is not subjected to the review procedures of, nor is it a report or product of, the National Academies.
The Roundtable on Health Literacy consists of myriad stakeholders in the healthcare field, including federal agencies, academics, and private industry representatives.
