Sustainable Diets, Food, and Nutrition: Proceedings of a Workshop

On August 1-2, 2018, the Food Forum of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine convened a 1.5-day public workshop that reviewed the current and emerging knowledge on the concept of sustainable diets within the field of food and nutrition. This publication summarizes the discussions that took place throughout the workshop which explored how sustainable diets could impact dietary patterns, the food system, and population and public health. Broadly, the workshop explored sustainable diets and relevant impacts for cross-sector partnerships, policy, and research.
