Climate Change, The Indoor Environment, and Health, a new report from the IOM, will be released 10 a.m. CDT Tuesday, June 7. The report responds to a request from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for an analysis of the effects of climate change on indoor air quality and public health.
On September 7, 2010, BP announced it would provide $10 million to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to expedite work on the research priorities identified at the IOM’s workshop, “Assessing the Human Health Effects of the Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill.”
At the request of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the IOM will host a public meeting to discuss the possible human health effects resulting from the Gulf oil spill.
