The IOM Committee for Assessing Progress on Implementing the Recommendations of the Institute of Medicine Report The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health held its second committee meeting on May 28 and 29, 2015. A public workshop was held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28 at the 20 F Street NW Conference Center located at 20 F Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. The workshop focused on data from and evaluation of the Future of Nursing: Campaign for Action and perspectives from key stakeholders in the implementation of The Future of Nursing report recommendations. The workshop also featured a public testimony period, where individuals delivered remarks to the committee about progress that has been made on implementing the recommendations of the IOM’s Future of Nursing report and successes and barriers to moving the recommendations to reality. On the second day of the meeting, May 29, the committee met entirely in closed session.
