The IOM Committee for Assessing Progress on Implementing the Recommendations of the Institute of Medicine Report The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health  held its third committee meeting on July 27 and 28, 2015, with public workshops on both days. The workshops featured panels on nursing education, nurse residencies, workforce diversity, workforce and education data collection and analysis, and health system changes, health care delivery, and culture change in the health professions and health care delivery. The July 28 workshop also featured a public testimony period, where individuals delivered remarks to the committee about progress that has been made on implementing the recommendations of the IOM’s Future of Nursing report and successes and barriers to moving the recommendations to reality.
