The committee will assess the effectiveness of the VA's information gathering efforts and provide recommendations for addressing the future medical needs of the affected groups. As part of this, the committee will comprise an analysis of the information collected by the registry in its initial months of operation. It will also offer recommendations on how to best ascertain and monitor the health effects of the exposures experienced by Service Members.
