The fourth meeting of the Committee to Review the Health Effects in Vietnam Veterans of Exposure to Herbicides (Ninth Biennial Update) will be held on January 16-18, 2013. This committee will undertake an updated review and evaluation of the available scientific evidence regarding the statistical association between exposure to dioxin and other chemicals in the herbicides used in Vietnam and various adverse health outcomes. This updated review would build upon the information developed in previous IOM studies in the Veterans and Agent Orange Updates.

An open session will take place on Wednesday, January 16, and will begin at 1:00 pm (in Board Room) and run until those registered have spoken. Interested parties are invited to attend the public session as observers or to address the committee about issues related to health effects in veterans associated with the herbicides sprayed during the Vietnam War.
