On November 28, 2017, the the National Academies Roundtable on the Promotion of Health Equity held a one-day workshop in Oakland, California, on Immigration as a Social Determinant of Health. This public workshop featured invited speaker presentations and discussions on the history of immigration laws and policies and how these laws and policies affect not only immigrant health, but population health more broadly. Workshop materials such as agenda, speaker biosketches, speaker presentations, and relevant resources are available on the right side of the webpage.

I could not attend the workshop in person, how can I learn more?

A written account of the workshop, called "workshop proceedings," will be available in the months following the workshop for free download on the main Roundtable webpage.
