On October 2, 2014, the Roundtable on the Promotion of Health Equity and the Elimination of Health Disparities held a one-day workshop on Digital Health Strategies, Health Disparities, and Health Equity: The Promises and Perils of Technology. The workshop focused on how communities use digital health technologies to reduce health disparities, improve health outcomes, and the potential of these new digital strategies to improve access to high quality health information for members of racial and ethnic minority groups. The focus was on community approaches to developing and using digital health tools to promote positive health outcomes for racial and ethnic minority populations.
