For the second committee meeting, the committee reviewed the statement of task and assessed how each of the subcommittees intends to work within those confines. To address the information technology issues in emergency medicine, a luncheon speaker presented findings and experiences cultivated from this problem. A closed session during this meeting entailed discussing the committee’s sentiments from the presentation and developing the Hospital-Based Emergency Care: At the Breaking Point report.
