The Engaging People in Value work group is a project of the Value Incentives Innovation Collaborative. The group's charge is to marshal collaborative initiatives to improve public and patient recognition, demand, and action related to achieving better health outcomes at lower costs.

The objectives of the October 4, 2011 meeting were:

1.      Agree on scope of work for Collaborative efforts to engage people on value.

2.      Hear from outside experts with expertise in involving people in the value proposition.

3.      Propose projects the workgroup can collaboratively undertake.

As follow-up to the meeting, the work group is drafting a new IOM discussion paper to outline lessons learned about engaging people in value.
