 The meeting objectives:

  1. To examine similarities and differences between existing frameworks used to grade evidence of effectiveness for practices in health and non-health fields;

  2. To discuss the potential application and adaptation of existing evidence-grading frameworks for assessing the effectiveness of public health preparedness and response practices; and

  3. To explore the potential role of evidence generated from sources other than randomized controlled trials and quasiexperimental studies in an evidence review methodology for public health preparedness and response practices.
