The Future of Disaster Health Volunteerism: 2042 - A Workshop
A panel of leading experts will engage participants in an aspirational discussion on possibilities for disaster health volunteerism in the next 25 years. Session participants will contribute to the development of a desired future state for volunteerism and provide feedback on the incremental goals and actions needed to achieve it.
Specifically, presentations and discussions will be designed to help participants:
- Examine key resources and tools that will enhance or sustain professional work or volunteer role in planning for, responding to, and recovering from disasters and other public health emergencies.
- Explore opportunities to engage with local, state, federal, NGO and private sector stakeholders to support development of a robust, scalable and regularly engaged disaster health volunteer workforce.
- Discuss the key characteristics desired of a disaster health volunteerism in 2042.
An agenda will be posted to this page closer to the meeting date.
