Many countries now face a “double burden,” where undernutrition coexists with overnutrition. On October 9th, the Roundtable on Obesity Solutions hosted a workshop that explored the current state of obesity globally, global prevention and treatment efforts, and the complexity of the global approach to managing the obesity epidemic. The workshop included perspectives on the implications of obesity as a global problem for prevention and treatment efforts in the US, with an emphasis on reducing disparities.
