Liz McKnight, CHES, is Executive Portfolio Lead for Healthy Living at the American Heart Association (AHA). Ms. McKnight leads development and execution of national strategies to improve nutrition, increase physical activity, encourage healthy weight, enhance overall wellbeing and reduce the use of tobacco and related products. This work includes influencing health behaviors both at the individual level as well as transforming systems and environments, often through high-impact partnerships. In previous roles at the AHA she was key in the development of the Association’s millennial marketing and volunteer engagement plans. Ms. McKnight is highly interested in leveraging behavioral science and behavioral design to positively impact health outcomes and the individual and population levels, as well as increasing culinary literacy to improve nutrition outcomes and address social determinants of health. Ms. McKnight earned her B.S. in community health from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Health Education Specialist.
