Activity
Standing Committee on Medical and Epidemiological Aspects of Air Pollution on U.S. Government Employees and their Families
Activity Description
The committee's task is to discuss issues regarding air pollution and its health effects (including health monitoring, medical intervention, risk assessment, and exposure mitigation) to which Department of State employees and their families, as well as other government employees, are exposed when stationed in locations outside of the United States with ambient pollution.
As of March 2016, the Health and Medicine Division continues the consensus studies and convening activities previously undertaken by the Institute of Medicine (IOM).
