The Committee on Dissemination of the IOM Pregnancy Weight Guidelines will hold a one-day workshop on March 1, 2013 at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC. The workshop will engage participants in a day-long dialogue about communicating and implementing recommended guidelines for pregnancy weight gain and collaborating on actions that engage women and their health care providers in adopting the guidelines.

The workshop will present outreach products that have been designed to help women plan for healthy weight gain during pregnancy and to give providers tools to help pregnant women achieve their weight gain goals. Discussion sessions are planned to engage workshop participants in active dialogue with representatives from federal agencies, health care organizations, and partnership groups on innovative and effective ways to communicate and implement the guidelines.

We encourage you to join us for a practical conversation about how to inform and support women in achieving healthy weight during pregnancy.
